Albrigi Battonage Tank (Lees Stirring)

The Battonage Tank is patented design for wines where lees stirring is desired to build richness and body, required especially white wines. At the bottom of the Battonage Tank is a rotating pvc blade designed to elevate the lees all the way up to the top to allow integration into all of the wine.   

Capacities:

1,000 up to 20,000 litres; Larger sizes available upon special request. 

Features:

  • Standard tanks built in 304 Aisi Stainless Steel with the usual mirror finish inside (BA) and rolled/polished welds of Albrigi tanks. This ensures an easy and high clean tank suitable for the modern winery.
  • Flat or Dish Bottom Tank
  • Pipe for pump overs
  • Round or Oval Door
  • Manway at the top of the tank with Breather
  • Dimple Plate (Cooling/Heating Jacket) available in horizontal or vertical strips. Twin jackets also available.
  • Motor and PLC Control Board automating the blades rotation
  • Sample Tap, Ladder Rest and Lifting Hooks
  • Thermometer and provision for Temperature Probe
  • 2 Outlets at Racking and Drainage points with S/Steel Ball Valves

Options:

  • 80mm Insulation with S/Steel Cladding over the dimple plates or the whole tank
  • Micro/Macro Oxidation unit either fixed or mobile
  • CIP systems
